Doctor Biography

Dr.NUSRAT SHAHRIN, is a young and energetic Child Eye Specialist & Phaco surgeon of Bangladesh Eye Hospital, Malibagh branch. She obtained her MBBS degree from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College, Sylhet on 2006 and acquired MCPS and FCPS (Eye) degree from Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS) in 2015 and 2016 respectively. In the mean time she joined Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS). She completed her Long Term Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Squint from National Institute of Ophthalmology &Hospital, Dhaka and also received short term fellowship training in the respective field from Inje University Sangge Paik Hospital, Seoul, which is one of the top ranked eye centers of South Korea. She completed hands on training in advanced Phaco surgery from Mahatme Eye Bank and Eye Hospital, Nagpur, India. Currently Dr.NUSRAT SHAHRIN is working as Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatric Ophthalmology at National Institute of Ophthalmology & Hospital (NIOH), Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Dr. NUSRAT SHAHRIN received Sharfuddin Community Ophthalmology Award from Honorable Health Minister in 2022 as recognition of her works.

Clinical Interest:Comprehensive pediatric eye care, Strabismus, Pediatric Cataract, Amblyopia, Adult cataract, Congenital Naso Lacrimal duct obstruction (CNLDO),ROP, Refractive error and other pediatric eye diseases.

Publications, seminars & conference: Interested in research. She is the author & co-author of lots of scientific papers published in different journals at home and abroad. She presented different scientific papers in many conferences & CME programs also.
